Moving forward in Fulton County: the candidacy of Kiddada Grey (Fulton County Commission - District 3)

As we get closer to the primary season during this election year (2026), there are a number (and we do mean a number) of things taking place. Ranging from national, state, and local level, the races for office can get a little overwhelming, including getting a better idea as to the role, purpose, and importance of each office.

When it comes to those who reside in Sandy Springs, Buckhead, and Midtown Atlanta, a race to pay closer attention to is for Fulton County Commission (District 3), which happens to be their district. And a candidate of note is one we're able to speak with recently, Kiddada Grey.

In speaking with her, she opens up about her professional and civic experience, along with her level of community engagement. As a consultant (in IT and business) to her related work in conflict management, mediation/negotiation, and other aspects connected to the public and private sector, there are considerable skill sets and experience which can seemingly translate to the office (you may watch the segment on her background below):

As notes previously, some may not have an idea of what exactly a county commissioner does (especially as it related to Fulton County). During our conversation, Ms. Grey not only clearly explains the roles and responsibilities of the office, but provides her rationale behind running for office, as it ends up being one of the parts of her platform (housing).

With an underlying notion of "missing opportunities" when it comes to engagement with residents in the district along with identifying and addressing areas of concern, Ms. Grey clearly articulates key aspects of her platform and how doing so can enhance the living, working, and related experiences of those in the district and potentially, across the city and others within the county (you may watch the segment below for more information):

In closing, Ms. Grey provides a reminder of checking your voting status (click HERE for a related article on bills on the GA State floor which potentially can impact voting, including early voting access) along with reminders of the primary dates for said election (for this and related elections in Fulton County, April 25th is the first day of early voting for the primaries and May 19th is the standard election day). Likewise, in sharing a "life lesson" as it related to politics and beyond, she infuses a pleasant does of perspective to conclude our conversation (you may watch the segment below):

As noted for her campaign, she's ready to hit the ground running.

And she's looking forward to the opportunity to move forward in Fulton County, especially for those in District 3.
