Always in style. The work of Styletainment encompasses fashion, the arts, celebrating women who are breast cancer survivors, community, and A Place Called Love

When substance is your style, it remains relevant.

An example of this is the work of Missouri, the creative leader behind Styletainment, along with the groundbreaking work they are doing in fashion, the creative and performing arts, the celebration of women who are breast cancer survivors, and with the efforts behind A Place Called Love, a means of enhanced advocacy for women who are living with and through breast cancer while battling homelessness.

During our recent conversation with Missouri, the NJ based creative reacquaints us with her story and life journey. The initial part of our conversation provides a point of reference regarding the "nudge" into fashion and the creative arts, along with her overcoming breast cancer and heeding the call to use her platform for improved advocacy for women living with and through this health issue (you may refer to the video below for a point of reference):

Given the takeaways from her experience of overcoming breast cancer, she sees there's more that can be done.

A key component of their gala (the upcoming edition takes place on September 26, 2026 at the Delta Marriott Hotel in Somerset, NJ) is recognition and celebration of women who are breast cancer survivors. Surprisingly, she learns many are not giving a formal recognition of their efforts, so instead of it reverting to business as usual, the event truly is a celebration of life and overcoming a major obstacle (you may watch the video below for a point of reference):

As for the event, it promises to build on previous efforts which begin during the close of the pandemic. The black-tie affair is complete with networking, awards (via the Ada Award and Legacy Award for community advocacy in addition to those given to the breast cancer recipients), a plated/full dinner, silent auction, performance, and of course, festivities on the dance floor (and so much more).
