Waiting to exhale.

For some, it's a reference to the book or movie. For others, it's just the moment in which they can simply breathe, release, and renew.

And on September 12, 2026 at The Crown at the Carolina Theater of Greensboro, it's an opportunity for women of multiple walks of life to do so in building a sense of community, engaging with multiple speakers, engaging in creative activity, and coming away with a sense of renewal applicable across multiple aspects of their professional and personal being.

All of which is the by-product of an evolving author's ability to produce a work based on lived experience and reminding women there's a light at the head of the tunnel (and not in the form of an oncoming vehicle) and after the storm clears, the rainbow appears.

In speaking with Boston-raised and Triad (NC)-based author Reasha Tenaye, we learn more about her journey as an author and how her work serves as a bridge for the upcoming Experiencing the Exhale 2.0 Summit. She opens our interview speaking to her background and the mindset she has in keeping things as balanced as possible in wearing the hats of a parent, professional, entrepreneur, and author (you may watch the segment below for a point of reference):

Even with her moving parts, writing is a part of her day-to-day.

Ranging from her middle child upbringing in finding a way to express and articulate her feelings on different topics to simply decompressing, writing is an extension of who she is. As a result of her "writing upbringing", she eventually gets to the point of publishing her first book, Waiting on My Rainbow (2025). Her debut is a story of lived experiences across self-identity, marital status, and other aspects across professional, community, and related life strata.

What she did not realize is how her book would impact a significant segment of women as a number do not realize others have a "parallel" experience in navigating through life's challenges, including the analogy of going through the flood or storm and in the end, the rainbow and renewal appears (you may watch the videos below to learn more):

Fast-forwarding to the 2nd Saturday of September (September 12, 2026), VIP attendees of the Experience the Exhale 2.0 Summit is truly about community building:

  • Breakfast with the speakers (VIP tickets).

  • Engaging speakers on topics ranging from the professional, community, and state of mind.

  • Line dancing (Who doesn't enjoy learning a new way to cut a rug?).

  • Food (yes, they are providing it with each purchase).

  • A safe space to network and team-build.

There are limited spaces available for the event, including a "Sponsor her Seat" option to help others attend. For details on all options, it is recommended to visit the author's site (click HERE), the site of the venue (click HERE), as well as emailing reasha@experiencetheexhale.com.

As noted, there's no need to wait.

Just exhale and embrace some positive things on the horizon.
