Go "fourth" with hope. The 4th annual Week of H.O.P.E. Awards via Congressman Hank Johnson recognizes local nonprofits and their community impact

Hope.
In and of itself, the word carries a tremendous amount of meaning. Ranging from encouragement to optimism, it's about what can be regarding the greater good and making the communities in which we live, work, and play just a little better than the day before.
In this spirit, along with the workshops conducted for nonprofits related to grant-writing, Congressman Hank Johnson's office hosts its Week of H.O.P.E Awards (Helping Other People Elevate). This momentous occasion (click HERE for our recap of the 2025 edition) celebrates the impact of nonprofits, along with their leadership and volunteers who dedicate their time and talents and focus on improving the lives of those who live in the 4th Congressional District. At the recently conducted event at the Lou Walker Senior Center (August 22, 2026), the following nonprofits are recognized for their efforts:
Congressman Johnson notes, "From helping low-income residents get access to quality healthcare, building homes, feeding the homeless to supporting our immigrant communities, all six of our awardees tonight are pillars of our community. You feed, heal, shelter, and nurture people of every age, gender, race, socioeconomic status, and political persuasion - but I can't help but reflect that our impact on young people is most profound. Your work benefits all Georgians by pouring into our next generation, and today we say thank you".
With a program full of energy, encouragement, and empowerment, it's one of the centerpiece programs conducted by the Congressman's office for community engagement and connectivity with his constituents (you may watch the entire program via the video below):
Again, there's hope.
