If legends are made in the fall, the youth and family focused work of Kate's Club certainly has some legendary traits and tendencies. Since its inception in 2003 and working with an underlying premise where they create a world in which it's ok to grieve (click HERE to visit their website), the focus of their programming is to empower children and teens, their families, and young adults facing life after the death of a parent, sibling, caregiver, or anyone important to them.
One of their recent events, Family Night, is a recurring example of the support programs and access to resources provided. It's a weekend series for kid and teen members (along with their families) with activities and related programming to provide support, connection, and fun.
Likewise, related programming builds upon these and related support for kids and their families. In knowing the number one indicator of how a child copes with grief is how their caregivers or surviving caregivers cope with the same/related grief, there are a solid array of programs which are family-centered, as they include (but are not limited to) the following:
Family Clubhouse Days (these are different from the kids only focus of the flagship Clubhouse Days).
Camp Good Mourning (a combination of family and kids-only programming)
Holiday Healing, Understanding, and Giving Support (H.U.G.S) on major holidays, including the winter holidays.
And speaking to the holidays, their upcoming Memory Walk helps set a positive and encouraging tone as we get closer to the late fall and early winter holidays.

The event takes place on November 9, 2025 as there are two locations this year (in Brookhaven and Watkinsville, GA - click HERE to learn more). The walk in and of itself is a way to remember the people in all's lives who have died/transitioned, as it's an open invitation to Kate's Club members, families, and the larger community to celebrate their lives and being immersed in a supportive and encouraging community and atmosphere.
Continue to move in purpose, especially when it comes to celebrating life and supporting those living with grief.
This fall, supportive, groundbreaking, and legendary work is taking place via Kate's Club.
