On October 30, 2025, we take a visit to the Gas South District to catch up with the Atlanta Gladiators. The ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Nashville Predators is off to a fast start (4-0-0-0/8 points) as they are in a 3-way tie for 1st place in the ECHL South, regarded as one of (if not) the most competitive division in the league.

Since their opening night win in overtime (click HERE for our recap), the team is forging its identity with up-tempo play and solid team defense, as they have outscored their opponents by a 14-6 margin (scoring 3.5 goals per game while allowing a meager 1.5 goals per game).

After practice, we get a chance to speak with Chad Nychuk (defense) and Peter Morgan (forward).

A key contributor across the board (1 goal/4 assists/5 points in playing all 4 of the team's games this season), Nychuk speaks to key components of the team's early success, including the level of confidence they exude in practice and bringing it into game-play, along with the role of the home crowd bringing an added energy to their overall play (you may watch the full interview below):

Coming off his 1st professional game in this past Friday's win (2-0) over the Florida Everblades, Morgan speaks to the insight from the team's veteran players along with the central themes of playing with confidence and execution early in the season, along with the importance of the home crowd as well (you may watch the full interview below):

This weekend, the team returns to their home ice at the Gas South District with games against fellow South Division opponents. Things get started on November 1st (7:10pm EST start) as the Glads host their in-state rivals, the Savannah Ghost Pirates (as the game takes on a Di'a de los Muertos theme). They'll return to action on November 2nd (3pm EST start) against the South Carolina Stingrays and on November 5th, they'll close out their 3-game homestand with the highly popular and energetic School Day Game (the first one of the season), as they'll take on yet another division rival, the Greenville Swamp Rabbits.

Since training camp, the team's confidence level is synonymous with their focus and team-building, leading to early season success. In building on these themes each day, during the course of the regular season (72 total games), they are making sound progress on individual goals aligned with team and the bigger benchmarks they have for the season.
