Preparation creates possibilities: the potential provided via the work of Scholarship Education Outreach
With the 2026-27 academic year in full swing, many a student is navigating the workload from classes, extracurriculars, jobs, and just about anything else which is part of a young adult's existence and being. By the same token, for high school seniors, it hits differently.
Ranging from taking note of their transcripts to testing, creating their resumes (of jobs, clubs, and related endeavors), and other aspects of the post-high school process (i.e. college or related education), there's a number of moving parts to take note of; however, some many not feel as confident given access concerns, let alone simply knowing the skill sets needed for proficiency and favorable outcomes.
And of the multiple entities who work in this area, there's a Metro-Atlanta based nonprofit who is doing their part to better equip and educate students (along with their families) on the "how-to" when it comes to scholarships and so much more, and that is Scholarship Education Outreach.
We recently sat down with Ms. Niakesha Hollins (SHRM-CP and MHRD) who is the integral in her role as the Executive Director and Founder of the nonprofit. Given her extensive professional and community experience across education, nonprofits, and higher education, a key component she transfers from these fields into the work done via the foundation is the larger issue of readiness via a composite professional, civic, and education-driven lens (you may watch the video below for point of reference).
Ranging from in-person to virtual learning experience (including a recurring monthly series), the foundation sets the stage for students to focus on acquiring the skill sets in alignment for success, especially when it comes to securing scholarships. Combined with multiple collaborative events, Ms. Hollins and her team are solely focused and driven to make sure students feel more sound regarding the larger and related processes when it comes to higher education access and securing funding in the form of scholarships (you may watch the video below for a point of reference).
