When you hear the word dessert, it clearly conjures up some creative images.
For some, it's about getting just enough and for others, all that and then some. And when it comes to cakedat3918, it's an evolution from family, to identifying a passion and purpose, and 3 years into their existence, expanding their reach across multiple events where their culinary creations are a fit at home to a wide array of events and beyond.

We recently spoke with Dr. Onika St James, the founder and creative spirit behind the brand. The Alabama State alumnae and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. provides context and a point of reference regarding her initial affinity for the culinary arts thanks to the influence of her grandparents. With a love hastened via family, it ends up being family (her son, Renoldo St James) who encourage her to take her passion to the next level, resulting in not only her business being established in 2022, but literally and figuratively opening up a whole new world (you may watch the segment below for a point of reference):
With the "8-pack" (her mother, siblings, nieces, and brother-in-law in addition to her son) working alongside her, Cakedat3918 is making their mark when it comes to the culinary arts, specifically desserts. Their signature pieces of Lunette's Red Velvet Cake and the 7-Flavor Poundcake are staple favorites, and with their ability to provide additional made from scratch items, they are growing into a "must-have" for any event or just for personal consumption (you may watch the segment below for a point of reference):
Coming off the Labor Day Weekend, there are a range of events on the calendar. They are scheduled to return to Jazz in the Alley (on September 13, 2025) along with Gemtopia via the Gwinnett County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Along with upcoming collaborations with local nonprofits (including cake decorating classes) to support of the American Cancer Society, they are looking to connect with a myriad of audiences in generating positive experience through their culinary art (you may watch the segment below for a point of reference):
Be on the web (click HERE to visit their website) or Instagram (click HERE to visit their page), they are ready to do more than just make your day; it's about reminding all to bet on themselves in the pursuit of their positive passions (you may watch the segment below for a point of reference):
And of course, give them the opportunity to "Cake your Day".
