Sights, sounds, and scenes of seafood: the Seafood & Caribbean Festival provides a festive setting across the board

It's summer, and that means time outdoors enjoying an event or two.
Even with the World Cup in town among other events, people still need a space to eat and greet, along with enjoying some cultural sights and sounds. Among those taking place, Underground Atlanta is the space and place for another edition of the Seafood & Caribbean Festival.
Yesterday's all-day and mid-evening event (June 27, 2026 from 1-10pm EST) provides a central space for those enjoying some time in downtown Atlanta, let alone partaking of what the weekend entails. Thanks to the creative undertaking and efforts of Events and Festivals LLC and The Resource Guild, the afternoon is full of food and flavor (and not just the food).
Seafood is the centerpiece of the event as a wide array of vendors based within the city, metro-area, and region showcase their culinary creations and more (you may watch the video below as we speak with one of the vendors at the event, Y Not Oyster Bar).
The soundtrack for Saturday is complete with Afro Beats, Hip-hop, R&B, Southern Soul, and Soca. Given the DJ's in attendance (Jahlion Sound, DJ Yung Fro, Dikash ATL, and DJ Lavish Lee), they provide the ideal backdrop to the day (which also includes the viewing of the Congo DR vs Uzbekistan World Cup Game).
With an audience drawn from the immediate area and region, it provides an ideal way to spend part of the day, and this includes the presence of the nonprofit community (Stand for the Silent) to provide access to resources for youth and the larger community (you may watch the video below for a point of reference).
