Getting "icy" during the day: the Loganville-Conyers Alphas' #BlackIceAffair is a day party to support their holiday season service initiatives

During the holiday season, there's typically events taking place to simply partake of good times with family, friends, and loved ones. And even the 21 and older and mature audiences have their share of day and evening events to be a part of.

And speaking of, the Loganville-Conyers (Sigma Eta Lambda) chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is hosting their annual affair full of flair, festivity, and doing so to support a key community cause and program.

On December 13, 2025 (from 3-7pm EST), the 21 and older/mature audience has the opportunity to be a part of the chapter's holiday themed event, the #BlackIceAffair. Taking place at Shantel's Kitchen and Cocktails, patrons are asked to dress in black and gold and/or holiday festive attire.

However, the event is more than just a day party.

As in previous years, a portion of the proceeds are used to purchase children's holiday gifts in support of their ABC2 Project. This event consists of members visiting Metro-Atlanta children's hospitals such as (but not limited to) Snellville Pediatrics, Hughes-Spalding Childrens' Hospitals, and the Arthur M. Blank Hospital (Childrens' Healthcare of Atlanta) to provide a measure of holiday cheer and assurance to the children who are patients along with their families.

There are limited tickets available for the event, so readers are encouraged to purchase online as it is an 21 and older event (you may refer to the image below for individual and couples/pairs for ticket purchases):

A good setting for a holiday day party only accentuated for the reason behind it, and the #BlackIceAffair is an event which makes this time of year a special one. Combined with coming off their larger organization's Founders' Day and the positive energy behind it, it has the makings of a truly special day.

And that's cooler than the other side of the pillow, let alone the cooler temperatures associated with the month of December.

It sure sounds like an "ice cold" groove a week from today.
