Good things on the golf course and Central Gwinnett: the return of their annual golf tournament

It's April. It's Spring. And it's time to enjoy the great outdoors, not just on a weekend, but a weekday.

Yes, the weekday, as next Tuesday, April 14th, is an opportunity for lovers of the game of golf along with supporting great causes can enjoy some time on the green.

Just as they did last year (click HERE for our article), the Central Gwinnett High School football program is hosting their golf tournament. It takes place at the Olde Atlanta Golf Course (5750 Olde Atlanta Parkway in Suwanee, GA) with a 9am start. There are options for teams of 4 ($500) and individuals ($125 per player) to be a part of the time on the links along with supporting a solid cause.

Proceeds from the event not only support the football program, but student-athletes across the board at the high school, be it on the field and more importantly, in the classroom and community. Thanks to the leadership of Terrance Banks (the head football coach) and related personnel and support, this is an endeavor which continues to evolve and become a staple in the Gwinnett County community, especially during this time of year.

There are opportunities for playing and sponsoring, along with making general donations to lend support (you may refer to the flyer for details, including speaking with Coach Banks).

From the gridiron to the golf course, there are sound things taking place at Central Gwinnett High School, and when it translates to the larger student-athlete audience, it's an opportunity to generate wins on the field and beyond.
