Recapping the inaugural basketball challenge and concert - setting the tone for the future

On Saturday, June 12th, the inaugural celebrity fundraiser basketball challenge and concert is launched (click HERE to refer to the preview article).

Thanks to the meeting of the minds by Lady Coco and Stefanie Batiste, those in attendance at Hoops Nation ATL have an enjoyable time all to support area charities. The game features the Atlanta Legends (a member of the semi-professional United Men's Basketball League) against another semi-pro team, the Atlanta Ballers, who play a highly competitive game; afterward, the two minds meet on the court for their epic one-on-one basketball challenge (won by Stefanie Batiste).

Afterward, the post-game concert hosted by Si-Man Baby (along the sounds and skills of DJ King Arthur and and DJ Smitty) provides a good way to close out the afternoon. With performances drenched in "Southern Soul", the event leaves a positive impression and sets the stage to be a recurring endeavor the second weekend of June (moving forward).

A good game, a friendly challenge, a nice concert, and more (the American Cancer Society and a local charity supporting homeless veterans are the beneficiaries).

Hooping it up can be a good thing.
