It's the postseason: the Georgia Spartans vs the Strong Box Steppers in #UMBLHoops semi-pro play
It's the postseason. While the Georgia Spartans have the United Men Basketball League's best record at 9-1, the playoffs are a completely different game. All teams getting this far have a clean slate and have equal opportunity to make a deep run for the semi-professional league title.
This Saturday (May 22nd) at 1pm, the Strong Box Steppers provide the first yet tough hurdle the team must clear to keep their postseason goals intact. The teams just competed against each other on May 8th, as the Spartans earn an 83-71 win (click HERE for the recap), completing their regular season sweep.
Tickets are $10 per person and children 12 and under are free to attend.
As an added bonus to the DJ adding to the sounds on your Saturday and multiple vendors, Wanted LLC is scheduled to return as a featured sponsor. Their punch-infused teas (which clearly should please the palette), including their Georgia Spartans inspired tea, provide an added "flavor" to the day's activities.
Postseason/playoff play as the stakes are higher. A festive and fan-friendly atmosphere.
Saturdays are about the Spartans and in this case, it's the playoffs.
