It takes a village.
Be it raising a child or a community, village-creating, building, and working collaboratively and creatively are among the components and traits to help get to an elevated space and place. And this Saturday from 12-7pm EST (September 27, 2025), there's an opportunity to do so at Pittsburgh Yards (352 University Ave SW in Atlanta).
Thanks to the creative vision of Valeasia Walker of Urban Design Research, the Give Sanctuary Fest provides a way in which businesses, creatives, and the larger community can come together for a day of culture, connection, and creation, The concept is clear in being a bridge-builder, especially for smaller businesses, to build connections and forge awareness and relationships across the board (you may reference the segment below for an idea of the concept behind the event):
Complete with a cabana-influenced setup for businesses and more to connect with the community, a few highlights include a youth soccer series via the inaugural Guardians Cup, and related community enrichment and engagement components. There's still opportunities for businesses be a part of the event (especially food trucks), along with spoken-word artists for the family-friendly event (you may reference the following segment for more information):
As Ms. Walker concludes, "To creative is Divine. It's important to create and (positively) ignite something. (When) we do it together, what can we do"?
This Saturday, it's a step in giving sanctuary for the community and its creative collectives.
It's time to build.
