Fun and festive: the 10th annual Family Food Fest (Atlanta) provides a positive impact for Father's Day and beyond

Entering its 10th year, the upcoming Family Food Fest (Atlanta) is a staple when it comes to Father's Day.

Taking place Sunday, June 16, 2024 (from 3-6pm) at the Georgia Freight Depot, the multicultural event not only is a food-tasting celebration to celebrate fathers and men who make a positive impact on their community, but with an interlocking series of programming including multiple cooks, chefs, caterers, and restaurants (along with the dads who provide sample sized portions of appetizers, entrees, and desserts), family/youth activities, cooking demonstrations, a health zone (for essential screenings), and more, it is a must-attend event to not only celebrate the day, but usher in the official start of summer.

This year takes on a special energy as the originator and founder of the event, Diane Larche (click HERE to learn more about her story of impact), transitioned in January (2024). However, thanks to a dedicated team including (but not limited to) Patty Garrett, Kevin Ashford, Andre Gates, Brandy Martino, Camille Blakely, Rita Oliver, Carla Belcher-Thompson, Larry Fagin, Jimmi Littles, III, Jeremy Cormier, James Moore, Jametta Barden, Neicey Johnson, Johnnie Winston, III, and Melanie Jackson, the event is going full speed ahead with a focus, passion, and purpose reflective of the event's founder (click HERE for the leadership team).

With a solid array of guest presenters, chairs, and more (click HERE to learn more), there's a limited number of tickets available (click HERE for ticket info and purchasing). Likewise, there are limited volunteer spaces for those willing to give of their time and talents (this Sunday), so all volunteer inquires should be directed Camille Blakely at volunteers@familyfoodfestatl.org (via email).

Supporting community causes and celebrating those who do their part in the community is what makes Family Food Fest (Atlanta) a special event. And with the spirit of the originator ever-present via the leadership team and beyond, it continues to be entrenched in the city's event fabric and beyond.
