HELP!

At different points in time, all of us are going to be in need of help in some way, shape, or form. And given the current turmoil given reduction of access to essentials such as food (click HERE for our May 2025 coverage of the bill passed this summer which is part of the reason for the current shutdown/impasse with the government) to the advent of the holidays (which for some people are more of a stressful time instead of a reason to celebrate), there are a number of people who are in need.

And tomorrow, November 12th (from 5-8pm at Columbia High School/2106 Columbia Dr/Decatur, GA), there's a "give-back" opportunity to provide some measure to help to those in the immediate community.

Via the Men and Ladies of Columbia High School, the student organization is hosting a turkey giveaway for the Columbia community, specifically those at Columbia Elementary. In doing so, their efforts are designed to assist families in the cluster with turkeys and related essentials.

With a goal of supporting at least 50 families, it provides a start and step in building awareness and having an event in place for other organizations to follow. Likewise, with it being student-driven, it helps provide a reminder of the capacity to serve and help others.

For more information and ways to support this and related programming, readers are encouraged to reach out to their advisor, Mr. Frazier (404-291-6200).

Be it the upcoming holidays or any day, showing thankfulness is a necessity. And in the case of the Men and Ladies of Columbia (HS), they are leading by example and being a community-focused example for others to emulate.
