Chicago is where a number of creative things get started.

While synonymous with house music, this Saturday, November 15, 2025 (at the Wintrust Arena), there's a uniquely curated experience taking place for those in the city and surrounding areas to partake of. Direct from the creative mind of Chicago's own DJ/Producer Terry Hunter, the Not Just Another House Party concert is more than just a musical experience. In bringing together artists together for an all-star celebration of rhythm, culture, and connection, patrons are provided an experience full of nonstop and positive energy with a number of the brightest established and up-and-coming artists across the board.

In speaking with Kevin McFall of Red Clai Studios, there's a clear and positive energy and excitement in the air.

McFall notes, "(Now 4-time Grammy Award nominee and 1-time award winner) Terry (Hunter), who has worked with artists and remixed across the board (i.e. R&B, hip-hop, house, and gospel music) simply wanted to to do more with those he's been connected with within music. It comes down to simply asking himself "What if" we can bring them together for something unique".

Essentially, once he puts out "the signal" as only Chicagoans can, the response is immeasurable.

Raheem DeVaughn and Dave Jeff serve as the hosts of the event. Among the performing artists include (but are not limited to) Yolanda Adams (who is recently nominated for a Grammy for the upcoming awards period), Deon Cole, Estelle, J. Ivy, Rakim, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Terisa Griffin, Chantay Savage, Slique, Teefa, Rochelle Fleming, and Tarrey Torae. And of course, to provide the signature sound of Chicago, the Chosen Few DJ's are also on the bill.

To add to the evening, a number of emerging artists are scheduled, including DJ Tai (Hunter's youngest son) as he's among the opening acts for the event.

While Chicago provides the backdrop, the event is more than just a concert. The curated experience given the multiple music genres and range of artists sets the stage for a multi-genre and generational audience to come together for a tremendous experience. And with the potential from this event, there's a range of possibilities to bring similarly constructed events of this kind to other cities.

Tickets are available via Ticketmaster; if purchased via their platform, there's a 30% discount for advance purchases, as it's a way to be cognizant of those impacted by the current landscape (search the event as Terry Hunter's Celebration as the discount is already applied). There are at-the-door purchase options available (as tickets start at $77).

The doors open at 6pm and the event starts promptly at 7:30pm CST.

Global Events, the executive producer of "Not Just Another House Party", echoes the following in that, "(This) is more than a concert; it' a movement".

And it's one to move to, at, and with.
