Cheers to four (and more) years! The work of Nicola McIntyre

To be in business is an adventure in and of itself. To do so for one year is an accomplishment, but for an extended period of time? Now you are talking about making an impact, inroads, and providing more than just a service to the community, but being as immersed in it as possible.

About 4 years ago, at 4805 Lawrencville Highway, Suite 300 (in Lilburn, GA), the dreams of Nicola McIntyre and her supportive family come to reality with the launch of A Taste Of Paradise Restaurant and Event Hall. Their space is a more than just a warm and friendly place service high-quality Jamaican cuisine, but is a more than growing community staple and entity.

Ranging from hosting meetings for community-based organizations such as (but not limited to) the North Metro Pan Hellenic Council (the collective of Black Greek Letter Organizations [fraternities and sororities]), the LEAD Foundation, as well as other community and civic entities ranging from the Lilburn Lions Club, the restaurant and event space is a welcoming, supportive atmosphere for all patrons. Add to it their community partnership and support of Lilburn Middle School, McIntyre, who also serves as the Vice-President of the Upsilon Alpha Omega Chapter (Lawrenceville) of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (which also holds committee and community-oriented projects and meetings at the venue), is one of the driving forces when it comes to investing and empowering the community along with providing a much needed venue for dining and events.

With their recent launching of their open mic series (their most recent edition takes place on January 6, 2018 as it takes place the first Saturday of each month, with the next edition scheduled for February 3, 2018 starting at 7pm), supporting the local arts scene is an added feature of the work conducted. Other events ranging from graduation ceremonies, birthday functions, and even book-signings/release events are among the kinds of support given to the fine arts community.

One would think that running a successful establishment (restaurant) would be more than enough, but pushing forward is part of the character of the owners of A Taste of Paradise. Fine dining, a friendly and professional atmosphere, blended with a solid community presence and being a resource to others is what makes this Lilburn venue the gem that it is. Add to it the steady and sincere presence and leadership of the owners, and you have more than just a business. It's a presence with substance, style, and helping be a bridge-building space and place for the community.

Enjoy a taste of paradise today via the McIntyre way.
