A great experience with Grooving on the Green
Even during our ever-changing "now normal", music is the means to manage the madness.
Soothing and soulful, there's nothing like a good tune or concert experience to slow down your moving parts and simply have a great time with like-minded people. This past Saturday (July 24th), the creative team of Enigma Events and Entertainment (click HERE to visit their Facebook page) brings its highly awaited and anticipated Grooving on the Green series to the East Metro area (of Atlanta). It's an outdoor concert experience complete with solid vendors and sponsors further accentuated by the sounds of classic R and B and Southern Soul.
Taking place at the Lithonia Amphitheater (2515 Park Drive in Lithonia, GA), a near capacity audience takes in some great music and more. Saxophonist Mike Jones and Friends get the party started, followed by an energetic set by Sheba Potts Wright.
Afterward, Southern Soul favorite Big Pokey Bear adds to the energy and festive nature of the audience. Performing his hit "Side Piece" and other favorites, he brings an added flavor and excitement to all in attendance.
To close out the event, the headliner, Lakeside, showcases the showmanship that is a hallmark of their performances. Performing classics "Fantastic Voyage" and "It's All the Way Live" to an outstanding cover of the classic Beatles (yes, THE Beatles) song "I Wanna Hold Your Hand", their flair for the creative is front and center.
After the concert, members of the band (Lakeside) showcase their kindness to a fan; through random draw, they gift a custom fedora via 1820hats, one of the vendors/sponsors at the event.
Great events don't happen by themselves. It takes great artists, vendors, patrons, and of course, great leadership in the form of Enigma Entertainment. And the groove isn't just in Metro-Atlanta; with a summer and fall schedule with more great events on the horizon, the only thing "enigmatic" is if you aren't in the space and place.
